His ways are not ours

It was recently that I watched come to pass the word that was spoken, presented in a vision. Roughly a year ago, I recall seeing a vision of connecting with this person for a greater purpose. One in which I was not clear of, but had much to do with Kingdom building. It was a peculiar vision, nonetheless I did not deny the reality of it coming to pass. Instead I held on to the notion accordingly to Hebrews 13:12 Equipt you in every good thing to do His will. "May this God of peace prepare you to do every good thing He wants," as stated in the word. "May He work in us through Jesus Christ to do what is pleasing to him."
I remind myself that his ways are not my ways. Knowing this I lean on the notion that he has a plan, not my plan Lord, but your be done. Know my will, but according to your will let it be done, let it manifest. I know this...

Changing the Pace of my life one step at a time

The last time I wrote was a few days before the Celebrating of Life for my dear friend, LaRessa. What a weekend it was - from beginning to the end, her vision was manifested and I was blessed to be apart of it.

It is January 2, 2009. A New Year, a chance to tackle some new goals as a special person recently shared.

A simple goal for me is to take every step toward Living my Life with purpose, loving passionately, loving God with passion, giving thanks, stopping the complaining -- sensitive to the spirit, walking in grace, at a focused pace, placing myself in the place to hear from the spirit, relaxed and ready to listen. Thank you Joyce Meyer for teaching me how to enjoy everyday life.

"But by fervent prayer let us seek to be filled with the Spirit, and to avoid whatever may grieve our gracious Comforter. All God's people have reason to sing for joy. Though we are not always singing, we should be always giving thanks; we should never want disposition for this duty, as we never want matter for it, through the whole course of our lives. Always, even in trials and afflictions, and for all things; being satisfied of their loving intent, and good tendency. God keeps believers from sinning against him, and engages them to submit one to another in all he has commanded, to promote his glory, and to fulfil their duties to each other."

The Celebration of Life is Approaching

A reason to celebrate life? A reason to come together to say - this thing called life is by far more special than one could ever imagine.

Well, this weekend awaits us. I'm packing my bags and dubbing it a getaway. forty five minutes south-east of Boston to Providence, Rhode Island. To celebrate the life of my dearest friend, LaRessa J. Seastrunk. It is my honor to have been called and invited to join in on her special day, as the Mistress of her Ceremony of this life, Now. We are going to celebrate starting with Friday night a surprise .... adventure, then dinner at McCormick and Schmick's, then a sleepover at the Biltmore Hotel. To join on Saturday for a special ceremony "The Celebration of Life" her attributes, positive ray of energy, her smile in spite of the pain she faces - nonetheless her inspiring others.
Second time Breast Cancer survivor is one of my sincerest reasons to appreciate and celebrate life.

Like Fire

I stand here today a new creature. But the most interesting part about this whole process is one needs time alone to channel and concentrate wholly. Like fire I am warmed by his love. Like fire I am purged from inequities. Though I feel alone, it is what I need most for God to shape me , mold me, guide me, focused and fine-tuned me. Fire is good and I like this fire.

Breath in, Breath out and appreciate while doing it

In simple obedience to the One who gave His life so that we might live eternally, we should desire to abandon all we know for the unknown of giving our lives away for Him. Not just feeding the hungry, but entering into their hunger with them. Not just clothing them, but experiencing what it is like to want for basic necessities. Not just appeasing our conscience by writing a check, but by actually entering into their reality, a reality that needs to see Jesus.

-Steven Curtis Chapman

What amazes me about this thing we call life is the mere opportunity that we gain, starting with the first breath we take in the morning, to simply breath. That deep breath we take in - inhaling in and out is a gift that many of us innately do without thought - nonetheless it took the thought of God sending his only begotten son to die on the cross for our very sins, so that we may be have life -- and life abundantly... moreover the chance to live this life and touch other with a hand of concern, of love, of understanding.

In may of this year, a close friend of mine was diagnosed with STAGE four breast cancer. Not only was this news devastating, but at the age of 29,she has now been stricken with this disease twice. Amazingly, this second-time breast cancer survivor has the resilience of true believer - her spirit is amazing, moving and warm, so much so that it has changed my perspective in life, to the point where I too consider it a blessing to be typing right now, to be living and of course breathing. I consider every single move that I make on a daily basis, how my hands move according to the signals sent to my brain via my nervous system - to write, cook, scratch and touch.

Praise God

I have learned that the most powerful weapon we can use against the enemy is our ability to praise the Lord at all times. It is in the very name of Jesus, that the enemy has no choose but to flee. Through the pain, the strain, confusion, anger, fear and hurt. Praise God. For in the end - he will make your enemies your foot stools.
